H.R. 3046 Social Security Number Privacy and Identity Theft Prevention Act of 2007
To remove Social Security numbers from Medicare cards and other federally-issued identification (and other documents), using an alternate identification number.
S. 1883 Accountability and Transparency in Medicare Marketing Act of 2007
To standardize marketing requirements for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (similar to the standards long in place for Medicare Supplement marketing).
S. 2603 Medicare Fraud Prevention Act of 2008
To increase criminal fines and sentences and civil money penalties for fraud and abuse under the Medicare program. Also increases the required surety bond for Durable Medical Equipment providers
